More things you can do with Ubuntu:
- toggle between a normal computer desktop and “baby netbook screen” mode
- install VPNs for access to school networks
- run Dropbox, or better yet, SpiderOak (like SugarSync but better) in the background for backup
- use Skype and take webcam photos
- monitor CPU frequency for maximum battery life (I get over 7 hours at 1 ghz)
- follow Twitter feeds outside of the browser
- use Chrome, a.k.a. Chromium
- download music like Death Cab or P.J. Harvey or Lady Gaga
- make Word documents and save them as PDFs
- upload photos to Picasa and Flickr through the built-in photo editor
- have multiple desktops
I am still not believing that this was free. I would have paid so much money for this.
