I was the cynic, a stalwart non-believer, and yet still a liberal. I did not wear an Obama pin until he was elected. I was on the Hillary mailing list. But the inaugural speech today (see post below this) actually inspired me.
Something about it has me wanting to do more. Should I reconsider joining AmeriCorps?
Maybe my summer job should be a little more out there, a little closer to what I actually want to do. I think I’ll contact some of the people who operate the various farmers’ markets around Los Angeles, and see if I couldn’t work there for minimum wage. I want to know how they actually develop those things.
